Episode Overview
The Virginian has a close bond with Mary Ann Martin (Patricia Breslin) and her young son, Cricket (Casey Peters), who reside near Shiloh ranch. Trouble arises when detective Corbett (Joseph Campanella) and his client, Judith Holly (Ruta Lee), assert that Cricket is actually Judith's son and that she seeks his return. Determined to uncover the truth, the Virginian works to ensure that Mary Ann can keep custody of Cricket. The situation escalates into unexpected developments during a courtroom hearing.
