Episode Overview
Samantha Frye, played by Barbara Eden, has a history of getting dismissed from various newspapers due to her penchant for embellishment. Upon arriving in Medicine Bow, she secures a position at the local paper and catches the attention of both the Virginian and Emmett Ryker. She starts writing a series of articles for the "Police Gazette" about the fabled outlaw known as the Brazos Kid, hinting that he might still be alive. This revelation attracts a bounty hunter, a detective, and a man out for revenge. Unbeknownst to them, the Kid is indeed alive and living nearby, with the Virginian aware of his true identity. As Samantha's descriptions of the outlaw bear a striking resemblance to the Virginian, he unwittingly becomes the target of those pursuing the Kid.
