Episode Overview

On July 17, 2007, TAM Airlines Flight 3054 skids off runway 35L at Congonhas Airport in Brazil, crashing violently into a warehouse next to a gas station, leading to a massive explosion. Tragically, 199 lives are lost, including passengers aboard the aircraft and individuals on the ground. The disaster stemmed from incorrect throttle settings during landing, where one engine activated reverse thrust while the other accelerated, causing the pilots to lose control of the plane.
