The New Yankee Workshop (1989)
S17E09 Highboy (1)
Episode Overview
In the annals of The New Yankee Workshop, no project has proven as daunting as the creation of a bonnet-topped Queen Anne-style highboy crafted from tiger maple. This iconic piece is accompanied by exceptionally rare reproduction hardware. To assist Norm in his quest for the perfect highboy to replicate, renowned furniture specialists Leigh and Leslie Keno from PBS’s "FIND" join him. They guide Norm to Leigh's gallery in New York City, where he discovers a stunning original believed to have originated in Wethersfield, Connecticut, during the early 1800s. Norm spends two episodes bringing this remarkable project to life, garnering admiration from all who witness his craftsmanship. This is the first of a two-part series.
