Joey lands an audition for the starring role in an upcoming TV series. When the audition date is changed, Chandler receives the notification but fails to pass it on to Joey. As a result, Joey misses the chance and becomes frustrated. To lighten the mood, the friends reflect on their own past blunders, sharing stories of their various misfortunes.
