Shiroe and his team journey south with Serara, making a pit stop at the residence of a "Person of the Land." These inhabitants, once mere NPCs in the game, lacked distinct personalities or characteristics. However, as Naotsugu engages in conversation with them, an unsettling feeling begins to emerge. The group slowly comes to the realization that their world has evolved beyond the confines of the game they once knew.
