Episode Overview

Maximilian and Marie enjoy a blissful marriage, but the threat of war with France looms large. He rallies his troops and successfully dismantles a plot by the citizens of Ghent. However, their safety is jeopardized when Joan's spouse discovers her affair with Maximilian's trusted advisor, Polheim. Under the laws of Burgundy, Polheim is now facing the death penalty for his actions.
