Episode Overview

One morning, a frantic man contacts the Police judiciaire, urgently requesting Maigret's help. He insists that someone is stalking him with the intent to kill. Just as Maigret tries to gather more information, the caller abruptly hangs up. The man continues to ring from different cafés, but then the calls suddenly cease. Later that night, his lifeless body is discovered, brutally beaten and stabbed. Consumed by guilt for not being able to save him, Maigret is resolute in his mission to track down the killer.
