American Greed (2007)

Episode Overview

A charismatic New Age evangelist dupes Florida investors, claiming that positive thinking will guarantee success in her auto financing venture. However, her scheme turns out to be a $113 million fraud, offering nothing but false promises to around 2,000 victims. Once the FBI catches wind of Cladek's con, her luck runs out. Meanwhile, Ronnie Gene Wilson warns his followers that society is on the brink of collapse, insisting that investing in precious metals is their only salvation. Ironically, while he predicts the dollar's downfall, he amasses $93 million, ultimately squandering it on a lavish doomsday bunker with an organic farm, rather than on metal investments.
