Episode Overview

In November 1907, the community grows increasingly worried about Mrs. Bridges, who has been in a deep state of sorrow since Emily's tragic suicide. The situation escalates when she takes a baby from his stroller while the mother isn't watching and brings him home. This alarming act reveals that she is experiencing a mental breakdown. To protect her reputation and maintain their own, the Bellamys decide to return the baby to his parents and offer them compensation, but they refuse to reveal Mrs. Bridges' identity. Angered by their arrogance, the baby's father has her arrested, leading to a hearing where Hudson makes a remarkable move to help her avoid prison.
