Episode Overview

Cagney is furious when her yellow Corvette is stolen, and her frustration grows as Mary Beth, recovering at home, contemplates leaving the force entirely. Fortunately, the sergeants exam includes a question on auto theft techniques, which might provide a silver lining. The episode also introduces Hector, known as El Vengeador. As the story unfolds, it becomes clear that Cagney's rival, Mansfield, orchestrated Hector's murder due to his involvement as a drug informant, connecting back to the earlier episode titled "The Man Who Shot Trotsky."
