Episode Overview

Hugh arrives in Denmark, recognized by the United Nations as the 'happiest country in the world'. In Copenhagen, he teams up with Rene Redzepi, the acclaimed chef and owner of Noma, which has been hailed as the best restaurant globally for three consecutive years and is a trailblazer in new Nordic cuisine. He also encounters renowned architect Bjarke Ingels and actor Soren Malling, known for his roles in The Killing and Borgen. Hugh practices high diving in a central harbor pool, surrounded by Denmark’s stunning residents, and learns that biking is the primary mode of transport, even for the flourishing sperm bank industry. After leaving Copenhagen, he visits an Efterskole, a boarding school where students dedicate a year to becoming better citizens. Finally, on the picturesque island of Samso, he climbs a wind turbine and joins Chef Kasper Gaard to prepare a delicious meal together.
