Over the course of 13 seasons, he achieved remarkable success, earning spots in two Pro Bowls, being named to an All-Pro team, and competing in a Super Bowl. Jerry set an NFL milestone with 60 receiving touchdowns, a record for tight ends that remained unbroken for 26 years. Despite his accomplishments, Smith grappled with his identity as a gay man, leading to a life filled with anxiety and pressure.
