Episode Overview

After a summer spent in Philadelphia with his mother, Dawson returns home and encounters a captivating young woman who disrupts his otherwise mundane existence. Meanwhile, Joey, who has been distant from Dawson all summer long, realizes she's still grappling with their sudden breakup upon their reunion. She may, however, discover an unexpected friendship as they embark on their junior year. Jen finds herself in over her head as she confronts the domineering head cheerleader. Mitch takes on the role of varsity football coach at Capeside High, and Pacey struggles with feelings of loneliness after a summer apart from Andie.
