Upon returning to Los Angeles, Dawson receives a request from the studio to oversee re-shoots, but he grapples with feelings of disloyalty toward his mentor. In another storyline, Joey discovers that Eddie has been silent since Christmas and finds his apartment deserted. Meanwhile, Pacey begins to neglect his job to prioritize his time with Emma. Additionally, Jen's role as a peer counselor becomes more challenging when C.J. is designated to mentor her, intensifying her self-doubt.
