Andromeda (2000)

Episode Overview

The Andromeda answers a call to eliminate atmosphere generators on Samsarra but soon finds itself facing a Pyrian battle group, leading to a tense standoff until the Commonwealth fleet arrives. During this time, Trance reveals to Dylan that her people believe the Pyrian fleet is more formidable and better prepared for the impending war. She advises him to retreat and allow the Pyrians to claim victory, suggesting they would be better positioned to confront the Magog World Ship rather than the resurgent Commonwealth. Faced with this dilemma, Dylan realizes that the only way to prevent disaster may require him to destroy the very planet he’s fighting to protect.
