The quiet village of Greenough, located approximately 400 kilometers north of Perth near Geraldton in Western Australia, is forever marked by one of the most chilling murders in the nation’s history. In 1993, Karen MacKenzie and her three young children were brutally slain in their remote home. The shocking randomness of the violence echoed the infamous events described in Truman Capote's "In Cold Blood," which chronicled a similar family tragedy in America. When authorities eventually apprehended the perpetrator, the evidence presented was so gruesome that much of it remained sealed from public view.
