Episode Overview

While assisting Gus and Captain Crane in gathering firewood, Sara stumbles upon an ancient gold coin. Captain Crane reveals that the island is steeped in pirate lore, suggesting her find could be linked to hidden treasure. Meanwhile, Rachel Lynde, Janet King, and Aunt Hetty each embark on their own treasure hunts. Trouble brews when Captain Borden, a former ally of Crane, arrives in Avonlea, convinced that Ezekiel holds the key to a fabled Spanish treasure. In a clever maneuver, Captain Crane outsmarts Borden before departing, leaving Gus with the lighthouse as a new home, along with a ruby and gold ring.
