Episode Overview

Kate is drowning in debt and hasn't made a mortgage payment in half a year. Mr. Guerney, the President of Pixley Bank, delivers grim news: a new majority shareholder has taken over, and she has just two weeks to pay $138 or face foreclosure. Unbeknownst to her, that shareholder is the scheming Homer Bedloe, who aims to sabotage Kate. Determined to help, the girls seek part-time work. Kate attempts a short-order cooking job but quickly realizes it's not for her. Although they gather the necessary funds, some are in I.O.U.s, and Bedloe refuses to accept them, pushing for foreclosure. Luckily, Mr. Guerney devises a plan to extend Kate's deadline.
