Episode Overview

A traveling salesman slips out of the hotel without settling his bill, prompting Kate and Uncle Joe to discover a guidebook that lists hotels targeted for scams. To their dismay, Joe’s name appears as an easy target. Meanwhile, Harry Harmon, a circus owner with a similar book, aims to deceive Joe by claiming he’ll pay for five rooms, but plans to sneak in the rest of his troupe. Kate grows suspicious as she notices unregistered guests, excessive dining, and no sign of payment. After finding Harry’s guidebook, she realizes the ruse and evicts the entire group.
