Episode Overview
Kate receives a peculiar request from a Mr. Donald Dobble, who seeks to book two rooms for himself and a companion. However, when Mr. Dobble's friend, David Benton, arrives, he insists that Dobble is with him, even though Kate sees only Benton. Acting strangely, Benton converses with an unseen presence, leading Kate to suspect he must be overworked. As others dismiss her concerns about Dobble's absence, she begins to doubt her own sanity. Despite her attempts to confront Dobble directly, they fail. Concerned for Kate's well-being, her friends notice her talking to an empty space. Eventually, Kate asks Benton and Dobble to leave without settling their bill. Shortly after, a Mr. Robinson arrives searching for Benton, revealing his scheme to con hotels by pretending his friend is invisible.
