Tension brews at the Shady Rest Hotel as jealousy takes center stage. After initially agreeing to attend the turnabout dance with Bobbie Jo, Tommy Johnson finds himself unable to go due to a prior engagement. Meanwhile, with Billie Jo refusing to speak to Steve following their recent argument, Bobbie Jo feels free to invite him instead. When Tommy's schedule clears up, he informs Bobbie Jo he can attend, but she declines, having already committed to Steve. Betty Jo seizes the opportunity to ask Tommy, who accepts, igniting jealousy among the sisters. As a twist, Steve’s old friend Jerry visits and asks Billie Jo to the dance, prompting Steve’s envy. A storm eventually helps the couples reunite with their intended partners.
