Episode Overview
When Kate's cousin Mae comes to visit, she reveals her ambitious plan to transform the Shady Rest into a wellness retreat, thanks to a financial boost from a wealthy banker. To secure the investment, the banker’s daughter, Agnes Bedford, must shed fifteen pounds in just two weeks using Mae's exclusive "Mae Method Reducing Course." With Mae forced to return to negotiate with the banker, Kate finds herself tasked with guiding Agnes through the program. Uncle Joe initially supports the idea until he learns he’ll be the test subject. However, Agnes’s love for food makes the transition challenging, complicating matters for Kate and her friends. Mae soon returns with yet another proposal for the hotel.
