Freaks and Geeks (1999)

Episode Overview

Sam has made the choice to renovate the general store, prompting a five-day closure while he takes a vacation. He chooses to relax at the Shady Rest, much to Joe's delight, as he looks forward to quality time with his best buddy. However, Joe is unaware that Sam has other intentions. Most of Sam's time is spent assisting Helen at the hotel instead. On the fourth day, when Sam learns the reason behind Joe's sour mood, he rushes to make amends in a single day, determined to lift his friend's spirits, even if it exhausts both of them.
