Episode Overview

As Steve and Betty Jo's wedding day draws near, they’re busily putting the final touches on their cottage renovations. Suddenly, they receive a letter from Steve’s parents, Mr. and Mrs. Donald Elliott, planning a stop in Hooterville on their way to a business trip. Betty Jo panics at the mention of wanting to savor her cooking and see their new home, as Steve had exaggerated both in his letters. Meanwhile, Doc Stuart prescribes bed rest for Kate, who’s caught a nasty cold. Betty Jo struggles in the kitchen until Mrs. Elliott lends a hand. The next day, a surprise awaits as Sam and other townsfolk reveal they’ve completed the cottage renovations.
