Katie is upset and cries as she feels unneeded in the Douglas home, thanks to Uncle Charley's comments. When Steve talks to Charley about it, Charley is shocked by the claim but quickly works to make things right. Meanwhile, Chip finds himself on a school committee of five, but with four of the members being girls, he struggles to get a word in edgewise.
