Joe Crane, a cheerful mountain man, shows up in the pueblo but quickly finds himself facing arrest for being in Spanish territory without the proper permits. Sergeant Garcia advises him to get out of town, but after Crane treats him to a few drinks at the tavern, the sergeant has a change of heart.
