Episode Overview

The officers are called to the scene of a shooting involving police and two Black men, one of whom was shot and later discovered dead in an alley. This victim was the younger brother of Reed's friend, Kenneth James, while his older brother, Cleotis, was involved in the incident as a member of a militant gang called The Brotherhood. Initially, Kenneth believes the gang's claim that the officers killed Cleotis, but the situation escalates when the brothers confront each other, revealing the truth—Cleotis is arrested after taking Kenneth hostage. Meanwhile, Malloy and Reed stop an elderly man celebrating his 75th birthday for several traffic offenses.
