Episode Overview

While patrolling the outskirts of Los Angeles, Malloy and Reed are alerted by a girl on horseback about a small plane that has landed in a remote area. Upon investigating, they witness a pickup truck speeding away and the plane attempting to take off. They manage to halt the aircraft, but lack evidence to prove the pilot's involvement. Later, the DEA informs them that a Mexican cartel orchestrates the landings, instructing the pilot to feign ignorance if apprehended. The officers track down the pilot and pinpoint the pickup truck's location, leading them to the landing site, where they successfully arrest both the smuggler and the pilot.
