Episode Overview

Officer Charlie Burnside plays a prank on Officer Albert Porter, a close friend of Reed's, but Porter isn't amused. He tells Reed that Burnside often uses excessive force with suspects. Later, after encountering a bumbling robber, Malloy and Reed witness Burnside choking a suspect. Reed reports his colleague's behavior, but the Captain takes no action since the victim refuses to confirm Burnside's aggression. Feeling confident, Burnside taunts Reed about the prank on Porter, claiming to have leverage. However, it's soon revealed that Burnside has come down hard on one of the robbers. As their shift ends, Burnside tries to intimidate Reed, but when he senses the disapproval from other officers, he dismisses his threats as a joke. Ultimately, he resigns when the team walks out on him.
