Episode Overview
On Malloy's birthday, he confides in Reed about his dislike for surprise parties, yet he grows increasingly wary, convinced his colleagues are planning one for him, which only frustrates him further. However, it turns out that no such party is in the works. Meanwhile, Sgt. MacDonald alerts the team about a series of robberies involving milk crates used to smash store windows. During a routine traffic stop, Reed spots a milk crate in a car and discreetly marks it for later identification. This leads to the capture of the thief connected to that crate. The officers respond to various calls, including a jewelry store robbery where they pull over the store owner for DUI, an embarrassed man who reports his purse being snatched from a lingerie shop, a fake gas station attendant at a closed station, a chaotic shootout in the police garage with a drunken suspect, and Officer Wells nabbing a breaking and entering suspect thanks to a tip from Malloy.
