Francis ends up spending a few days in a small county jail and surprisingly finds himself enjoying the experience more than he anticipated. Meanwhile, Malcolm starts dating a girl, which only intensifies his typical social anxiety. Dewey befriends a new kid in town, and together they work on planning Dewey’s ideal birthday party, with the help of the new friend's mother.
