Cybill takes it upon herself to follow Maryann as part of her preparation for a new role and uncovers an astonishing secret. Eager to draw inspiration for her character in Ira's latest play, Cybill closely tracks Maryann's activities. However, when Maryann insists that Cybill can't join her one afternoon, Cybill decides to tail her regardless. She witnesses Maryann having a clandestine meeting with a man at his apartment, leading Cybill to mistakenly believe her friend is involved in an affair. The truth, however, reveals that Maryann has been working as a nude model.
