Cybill is thrilled to land the role of Abe Lincoln's wife in the play What Now, Mrs. Lincoln?, stepping in as the understudy for the illustrious Joan Hayden, who has impressively never missed a performance. Just when it seems like her chance will never come, Joan suffers an allergic reaction, thrusting Cybill into the spotlight. However, her moment of glory quickly spirals out of control when her cell phone, accidentally left in her skirt pocket, begins ringing during a crucial scene. Meanwhile, Maryann and Ira confront a rude audience member, unaware that she’s the influential agent Cybill has been trying to impress for months.
