Episode Overview
P.C. Jim Carver heads to the morgue to look into a suspicious drowning case. The deceased has been oddly arranged with various items, including theater tickets, ill-fitting clothes, and a peculiar suicide note. D.S. Roach suspects it could be an assassination linked to the British secret service while seeking approval to set up surveillance from a nearby office building. Meanwhile, D.I. Roy Galloway and D.C. Mike Dashwood face a judge's reprimand for not presenting all evidence in a fraud trial. In a rush to gather the documents from Sun Hill, Galloway collides with a black cab, leading to a dispute where he arrests the driver for disturbing the peace. This sparks a protest as cab drivers block the station. P.C. Nick Shaw is injured with a knife while intervening in a brawl between two brothers-in-law, but Sgt. Penny declines to press charges. An Asian man reports ongoing harassment, and a young boy is brought in for vandalism
