Episode Overview
D.I. Burnside sets a sting operation on a quiet street, positioning an open van filled with video recorders. He, along with Carver, Roach, and Dashwood, waits patiently for someone to take the bait. Soon, a man in a BMW approaches and grabs one of the recorders, leading to Roach and Dashwood arresting him. Back at the station, he reveals himself to be Julian Pembridge, a notorious solicitor familiar to Burnside. Pembridge argues he was merely revealing a police setup and manages to walk away with just a fine. Meanwhile, with Sgt. Peters on leave, Sgt. Cryer and Insp. Frazer grow worried about Sgt. Penny's mental state. Ch. Insp. Conway talks to him, suggesting he take some time off. Penny, adamant that he's fine, refuses.
