Episode Overview
Sun Hill officers respond to a string of false alarms traced back to a hacker infiltrating the police's computer system. Sgt. Cryer delves into the case and discovers a former university student who has obtained an ex-MOD computer still containing access codes for police and government networks. Meanwhile, W.P.C. Ackland checks on a woman too frightened to leave her flat after being mugged multiple times. She persuades her to step out for cigarettes, but upon their return, they find her home ransacked. June arranges for her relocation from the estate. Meanwhile, Roach, Dashwood, and Carver observe a car being retrieved from a river, where the body of a young woman is found inside. They interrogate the car's owner, who seems to be concealing information. D.S. Roach must then inform Sgt. Cryer that his son, Patrick, was driving the vehicle when it went into the river and had fled the scene.
