Episode Overview
During Halloween, Ethan is at odds with his mother over his costume choice; he wants to dress as Freddy Krueger, but Nancy refuses. Meanwhile, at DAA, Michael finds Miles on the floor of his office, trying to ease his back pain. Miles shows Michael the original 3-D model of DAA and shares that he’s in the former office of co-founder Duncan Arthur, who passed away there from a heart attack. Miles informs Michael of the need for a 10% workforce reduction, placing the responsibility of layoffs on him. When Michael tells Elliot about the list, Elliot shuts down, especially upon hearing that Hollis and Angel are included. Later, while working late, Michael is startled by a squeaking noise, only to discover the janitor with his bucket. Meanwhile, Melissa is at DAA with Elliot when Miles enters, and she’s noticeably cold towards him. Michael presents the layoff list to Elliot, noting that Hollis is included, but Angel isn’t.
