Episode Overview
After a marine is shot, the team launches an investigation. They begin by interviewing him, and he claims he was out riding when he was likely hit by a hunter’s stray bullet. However, as they dig deeper, they discover he wasn't being honest. When they return to the hospital, they find he's already left, still recovering. A relative intervened to assist him, but when they speak to this relative, they uncover a bag full of drugs, which they suspect belongs to the marine's son. As they try to track down the boy, he suddenly vanishes. They conclude that he may have been coerced by a drug ring to deliver the drugs but decided against it, prompting his father to protect him. Realizing the gang is a serious threat, they intensify their search. Meanwhile, Kai is forced to suppress his own emotions when his father skips a doctor’s appointment, putting family first.
