Episode Overview

In "Also Rans," timid shoe salesman Jerome Pepper aspires to win the heart of his longtime crush, a girl he has admired from a distance for seven years. He takes the opportunity to assist her in preparing her horse, Pomona Prince, for a race, hoping this will draw her attention. Meanwhile, in "Portrait of Solange," Mr. Roarke fulfills Tattoo's birthday dream of becoming an artist in the style of Francois Toulouse-Lautrec. However, the experience turns bittersweet as Tattoo finds himself falling for Solange, the girl he is painting, complicating his artistic journey.
