Episode Overview
The bombing mission at Dulabine Shipyard is called off due to heavy cloud cover. Meanwhile, in Emstad, Oberst Erhland, the German commander, is exasperated by his inability to launch an attack because of maintenance issues with his fighters. He realizes it will take at least five days for the weather to improve and instructs Hauptman Schmidt, his maintenance officer, to focus on repairing the 18 fighters that need work, while 7 remain unserviceable. Erhland also confers with Hauptman Schiller, the Radar Officer. Back at the 918th's base, General Britt introduces Gallagher to Dr. Michael Rink from the Signal Corps, who has developed a new airborne radar system called Bomb through Overcast (BTO) Radar. Three planes embark on a test mission to bomb Duronde, achieving an impressive 80% success rate with the BTO. However, Dr. Rink, who has a heart condition, collapses after the mission
