Episode Overview

Captain Crane finds himself in the Flying Sub when he picks up a distress signal from the Seaview. Returning to his submarine, he discovers it deserted once more. Suddenly, a force-field on the spiral stairs knocks him out, and he encounters an unknown assailant who shoots at him. After some time, he finally locates the crew, only to hear Nelson accusing him of treachery. It takes an hour and a bullet in the shoulder—fired by none other than the stranger—before Crane learns that aliens are conducting experiments on humanity.
