The crew of the Seaview enjoys a lively show featuring puppet versions of the Captain and Admiral, courtesy of Professor Multiple. When the submarine sets off, Multiple stays aboard, and his puppets mysteriously spring to life, taking over the roles of their real-life counterparts. Only Nelson and Crane manage to evade this fate. Multiple reveals that he and the puppets are creations of future machines that have come to the present, seeking the Seaview as a new host. Can Nelson and Crane thwart this extraordinary menace?
