Episode Overview
Lisa and Joe opted to replace their aging wooden retaining wall with a new one made of concrete blocks. As the construction progressed, they began to notice some concerning issues, such as the absence of a gravel base and the unused Geo-grid reinforcement, despite most of the wall already being built. The project dragged on without completion, and eventually, the contractor stopped showing up and became unresponsive. In a state of worry, Lisa even called local hospitals to check on him, shocked that he would abandon the job and leave his tools behind. After paying upfront for materials, they were shocked to receive a bill from the supplier demanding the remaining balance. Realizing they had been scammed, they turned to Mike and his landscaping team, who promptly demolished the unfinished wall and constructed a sturdy new one.
