Episode Overview

Nick and Bert Myers thwart a kidnapping attempt, but their main target, an Immortal named Markham, manages to flee. He leaves behind an old photograph from the 1890s featuring himself and Amanda. Back then, Markham and Amanda had kidnapped a wealthy boy, and he coerced her into agreeing to marry him to prevent her from testifying against him. After realizing he had killed the victim, she betrayed him to the authorities. Now, Markham seeks vengeance, and during the conflict, Bert is injured. He demands the complete story but remains skeptical of Amanda's account. In a fierce showdown, Amanda confronts Markham, decapitates him, and finally claims her freedom.
