After spending her life as an orphan, Kelly is unexpectedly approached by attorney Bill Cord, who believes she might be Margaret Barrows, the long-lost daughter of wealthy hotel magnate Oliver Barrows. Intrigued, Kelly travels to San Diego to meet the man who could be her father and finds herself falling for the charming attorney. However, just two days following their heartfelt reunion, tragedy strikes when Oliver Barrows suddenly passes away from what seems to be a heart attack.
