Paige begins to embrace her role as a Whitelighter when she encounters her first charge, a man named Sam, who she doesn’t realize is her biological father. Meanwhile, Cole desperately seeks ways to be vanquished by the Charmed Ones. On another front, Piper and Leo struggle to locate a magical creature capable of babysitting, and their situation deteriorates when they fall victim to a Darklighter's poison. This leaves Sam as the sole individual capable of rescuing them from their dire predicament.
