Frances is initially taken aback by the fact that it will be just her and Flynn running the law practice, but her surprise quickly shifts when Tiffany asks her to represent her in an upcoming custody hearing set for the next day. Although she has serious doubts, Frances reluctantly agrees to take on the case. Meanwhile, Matt and Bec's marriage continues to deteriorate as Matt becomes emotionally distant. During the court proceedings, an outrageous accusation arises, suggesting that Matt is having an affair with Tiffany, prompting Bec to question whether there’s any truth to the claim. Additionally, Sophie's statement about her disinterest in marriage leaves Doug unsettled, making him question if he’s investing time in a relationship without a future.
