Episode Overview

The remaining 12 dancers kicked off the show with an energetic number choreographed by Doriona Sanchez, featuring the song "Born to be Alive." Following the performance, we were treated to a recap of last week's events and then Nigel introduced a significant rule change. Partners would now be randomly assigned, reminiscent of last season's format, and each dancer would perform three routines: two with their partner and one solo. America would vote for solo performances instead of couples, meaning judges' votes would no longer factor into eliminations. Cat then announced the couples facing elimination. The first duo, Benji and Donyelle, were safe, while Dmitry and Ashlee were at risk. Next, Travis and Martha found themselves in danger, while Ryan and Heidi were safe. Finally, Ivan and Allison were safe, but Musa and Natalie were not. Each dancer from the eliminated couples showcased a solo for the judges. While the judges deliberated on who to send home, the Pussycat Dolls entertained the audience.
