Title: The Top Eight Perform Plot: With just two weeks until the grand finale, "So You Think You Can Dance?" on Fox showcased its final eight contestants—four men and four women vying for the title of America's favorite dancer. For this round, the dancers randomly selected new partners and routines. Each duo performed two numbers, and every dancer showcased a solo as well, giving Fox a two-hour showcase of talent! Guest judge Toni Basil, known for her hit "Mickey," joined regulars Nigel Lythgoe and Mary Murphy, taking the opportunity to promote her work with Bette Midler in Las Vegas and Tina Turner on tour.
